better in Unit 6 as this deals with Government Intervention in
Different Market Structures.  When this topic is located in Unit 1, it
seems like a standalone lesson and is probably best remembered by
students if it occurs in the last lesson in Principles of
Microeconomics as it is a great review on CS, PS, DWL, etc.

On the next four links below (The Best Graphs), you can move the
demand curve and show TR and then clear, TC and then clear,
economic profit, and then clear.  You can do the same thing with
showing economic loss.  You can show entry and exit. You can shift
the supply curve and show the same things.  You can show the Shut
Down Rule.  You can show the supply curve = MC of the individual
firm and so on.  You can do lots of things with these fiyr graphs.

NOTE:  Inside the link below, this is a chapter on Profit (Revenue -
Costs).  The interactive graphs can be enlarged for your
PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation.
NOTE:  Inside the link below, this is a chapter on Imperfect
Competition Market Structures.  You can enlarge the interactive
material inside this chapter.
NOTE:  Inside the 5 links below, are Perfect Competition graphs of a
demand curve, consumer surplus, a supply curve which is the MC
curve, producer surplus, and deadweight loss.  These 5 links will help
you get ready for all the calculations required when figuring the
dollar-value of areas on a Monopoly graph.
NOTE:  For the Monopoly vs. Perfect Competition Graph link below,
set up the graph as a Monopoly and then drag the P line down to
show the PC firms' market price (price takers).  Perfectly Competitive
Firms are allocatively efficient and produce the output where P = MC.
Monopolies are allocatively inefficient and produce output where
MR = MC.
