Money Market Graph vs. Limited Reserves Graph
|
This is a 10-minute lesson for Macroeconomics Educators
on why the Money Market Graph should rest in peace and
you should teach the standalone Limited Reserves Graph
instead.
If students want to learn more about the Money Market, they
can take a History in Monetary Policy course in college.
A Principles of Macroeconomics course is forward looking,
not backward looking.
Below is a 10-minute YouTube video that explains why
the Money Market graph should no longer be taught in a
Principles of Macroeconomics course.

You are still "supposed to" follow the CED, but if I were
an AP Macroeconomics Reader, I would most definitely
bring this to the attention of the Chief Reader and those
who are on the AP Macroeconomics Development
Committee while in Cleveland this summer.
Best of luck everyone teaching AP Macroeconomics! Since
the CLEP students I am teaching don't have to draw a graph,
I will NEVER teach the Money Market graph again. It is now
a SUNK COST.
